Incubus The Blood Lust (previously titled Night Terror)

COLD BLOODED THE ULTIMATUM (previously titled Corn Dawg)

Computer analyst Raymond Cooper is tormented by the recurring nightmare of a young woman’s murder. Unable to sleep, Ray's work and health suffer. At the behest of his sister, the beautiful Joyce Cooper, he reluctantly agrees to therapy hoping he can rid himself of the nightly torment. Soon, a young woman is murdered, an event which changes Ray’s life forever and thrusts him into a world where reality and delusions become one. With his life spiraling out of control, Ray is forced to confront the possibility that murder is not confined merely to the macabre visions of his subconscious.

Jack Malloy, a Sheriff's deputy whose alcoholism cost him his job as a detective and forced him back into a patrol car, responds to a prowler call, only to discover yet another in a string of murder victims. The gruesome scene sparks a renewed passion in the former detective. For Malloy, it is a chance to recover his self-respect and a time to confront the demons which have caused him to fall so far. He initiates a one-man investigation, both unauthorized and dangerous, which could cost him not only his job but his life.

What page turner! Jack Malloy jumps right out of the pages at you. Couldn't put it down since page one. Another great author has come our way!

The plot is very different and kept me guessing longer than normal. The characters also seem real and everyone I started to care about got bumped off; which frankly kept me page turning each night long after I would have with other books

Well worth reading!

The characters come alive on the page. I was completely in their world, feeling like I knew them. The dialogue is fresh and a pleasure to read. The police procedures and "police speak" are so real you will feel like you are in the police car racing to a crime scene or in pursuit of a suspect.

For Cornelius Miller, life in “North Side,” as it is known, is a struggle. Having put the errors of his youth well behind him, he now works six days a week, trying to earn enough to take care of his mother and younger brother. But keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table isn’t his only concern. His brother, Andre, bright and studious, has decided that education will be his ticket out of the gang-infested neighbourhood, the Millers call home. But a giant roadblock looms in his path, in the person of Derek “Big Man” Wallace, the notorious leader of the North-Side Crips. A giant of a man, Wallace has decided that Andre Miller won’t be leaving the “hood” anytime soon. He’s been pressuring Andre, trying to force him into his gang of thugs. In an effort to protect his younger brother, Cornelius intervenes. Soon, he is faced with a potentially life changing decision, one that could threaten not only his freedom, but his life.

Deputy Jack Malloy, fresh off a disciplinary banishment for his sometimes recalcitrant ways, is more than ready for a fresh start. Reassigned to his beloved Day shift, Jack’s world is once again turned upside down, when, he inherits a young trainee. Angry and beset by yet another injustice, perpetrated by those possessing the power to adversely affect his life; he decides he dislikes his youthful charge, before they’ve even met. Having no way of knowing the effect she would have on his life, Jack unwittingly embarks on a journey of personal enlightenment, selfless courage and a steel-willed resolve to keep a solemn promise. An endeavour, which will put him, teetering on the edge of the law he’s sworn to uphold.

"Corn Dawg" is a definite page turner! The characters seem to come to life and the suspense is gripping! Great!

The characters come alive with the gang street lingo and very descriptive imagery of life as a cop in a gang infested city. I highly recommend reading both Night Terror and Corn Dawg.

Great story and suspenseful throughout. Just when you think you have figured it out, here comes another twist. Can't wait to read the next book.

Another good Jack Malloy book. Hope to read more. Can't help but like this imperfect character.
